Like it or leave it? here’s my verdict
Charming ambiance with unique character, the terrace views are nothing short of breathtaking. The breakfast selection was a culinary highlight with an impressive array of choices, making mornings a true delight!
Though the building's character is appealing, multiple areas need modern updates. the outdated decor and occasional street noise can detract from the experience, offering more of a rustic stay than a refined one.

Charming stay with stunning views
Right from check-in, the welcoming staff made us feel right at home. We enjoyed the spacious room that led out to a picturesque patio with breathtaking views of the region. The breakfast spread was not just abundant but incredibly diverse, providing the best morning meal of our Italian travels! The character of this hotel, combined with its prime location in Spello, made our stay truly delightful.
However, we were uncomfortable with a request for our passports at check-in, which added an unnecessary level of stress. While the charming atmosphere is captivating, certain areas, like the patio, could have been tidied up a bit due to overgrowth. The elevator felt a touch outdated, which could detract from an otherwise excellent experience.

Perfect location, right next to the main town square of Spello. The roof terrace offered stunning views over the rooftops and valleys, making it a great spot for relaxation. Our superior double room was spacious with a lovely patio, although it could have used some tidying up due to moss growth. The breakfast spread was exceptional, featuring a large variety of breads, pastries, meats, and fresh fruit. The staff went above and beyond, assisting with a last-minute dinner reservation at a fantastic nearby restaurant. However, they requested to keep our passports during check-in, which made us uncomfortable. Fortunately, the desk manager allowed photocopies instead. Despite the charming atmosphere, minor maintenance work is needed, especially regarding the elevator and some dated decor. Parking was available a few meters away, which made things easy for us. All in all, a delightful stay with a few areas that could improve.

Breakfast? Oh boy! The spread was downright epic, featuring an array of local pastries and delightful meats! Plus, the staff helped us snag a last-minute dinner reservation at a nearby gem. Oh, and the views from our top-floor patio? Instagram-worthy!
They did ask for our passports at check-in, which was a bit much, but I mean, can you blame them for wanting to ensure security? The charm of the place still absolutely shined through!

Stunning terrace views, beautiful common areas, historical charm
Inconsistent Wi-Fi access, which doesn't match the hotel's quality!!! Noise disturbances from the street affected the tranquility of our stay, and it's a shame the bathroom decor felt dated and could really use an upgrade!!!
